Dontrelle turned in 6 solid innings of work as the Tigers defeated the Royals 7-3. Willis started the game a little bit shaky allowing a run in the first, but he dug in and really settled down after that. His control wasn’t very good, in fact at times I wondered if this was the same old version of the D-Train. What he did VERY WELL was get hitters to ground into the double play. 3 of em to be exact.

The Tigers offense once again demolished the KC bullpen. Their pen gave up something like 14 ER in 10 IP. It’s too bad we can’t play KC’s pen about 159 more times.

Heros

  • Cabrera, god has this guy started out the year on fire. He is 8 –14 with 7 RBI’s early in the season. This Dude could win an MVP this year.
  • Ordonez, had a solo big fly  in the 6th. He has also started the year on a tear. It’ll be really nice if opposing pitchers have to fear the middle part of our lineup.
  • Willis was great. It’s so nice to see this guy play well. He’s the kind of player you can’t help but root for.

Goats

  • Both Bonnine and Perry had a few issues, but I don’t think its anything to be to concerned over
  • Laird, in what I have a feeling will be a continuing trend makes this list for the 3rd day in a row. He can’t hit and so far in this young season can’t seem to throw out runners either.

Preview of the Cleveland series coming shortly.
